The best laid plans of Mom's and kids . . .

It is a long weekend and the kids and I were planning on going bowling, making soap, starting some seeds, cooking some yummy food . . .

And we did exactly none of those things - Patrick called me on Thursday morning from school with a fever - by Friday night Catherine was sick and Saturday yup me too

So we have all had the Flu.  Patrick is fever free and not coughing too badly today - Cat has a small fever and coughing some and I am feverish still and coughing

So not much fun this weekend at all but we did get to spend lots of time together lol

and I did figure out that I am allergic to aloe vera - with my skin healing up I am trying to use simple ingredients to cleanse moisturize etc so that I can try one thing at a time and see how I react.

Aloe is supposed to be wonderful for the skin - healing and moisturizing and I just happened to have an aloe plant here . . .   So I applied some fresh gel to my face and . . .  Wow wow wow get it off get it off - insane itchy reaction.

So for now I am using olive oil - going to try and find some liquid lecithin (maybe Wild Oats?) to make my own lotion this week.  If I can tolerate that then I might try and add some lavender oil and see if I can tolerate that too.
