Is it Bad Karma to walk out on your New Year's Eve Date?

I have never walked out on a date in my life and I have had some doozies!

I walked out on my date tonight.

But this was not just any date.  I had been asked out by a very handsome successful Doctor.  Not only did I have the *dream* date we went downtown to a great Thai restaurant - very city very hip and then after a walk down Beale he had a ticket to the hottest nightclub in town (I think he expected me to pay for my own ticket - guess he should have told me because I would have brought more cash)

But after dodging Octupus from hell hands and two SOLID straight hours of saying "ummm no thanks I don't want to have sex with you", I finally realized that this I was having a miserable time with the hottest date at the hottest party in town and I left (I did say Sayonara - I did not slink off) - I had the strongest urge to drop this quote from When Harry Met Sally:

Its amazing. You look like a normal person but actually you are the angel of death.

But I thought the subtle humor might be lost on him.

So here I am at home by myself very happy getting ready for a New Year.

I figure that this is probably either very bad Karma for 2008 or a sign that it is going to be a great year LOL

Maybe neither.

Happy New Year - 2007 was a neat year - I think 2008 will be even better.

So do you *love* your car?

It is just a car right?  A piece of steel and machinery to get you from point A to point B

Oh cmon get real - it is your friend your status what you say about yourself

I love love love my car - it is my second Prius (bought this one early last summer)  I loved my first Prius so much that only wanted another Prius - and I love this Prius more than my first.

Yes it is a hybrid and so that makes it fuel efficient and good for the environment

But there many other intangible reasons to love a Prius.

And I am not the only one . . .

we are the best loved, most fuel efficient and most reliable car out there.

What is not to love

So if you are considering a car purchase in 2008, think about driving green.  Lower our dependency on petroleum, do something to stop global warming.

And prepare to fall in love.

Catherine's Time to shine

This time of year Catherine is my focus!  She dances with Ballet Memphis and this is her third year dancing in the Nutcracker . . .

But this is the FIRST year I have remembered to take my camera backstage (You cannot take pictures or film the ballet at the orpheum) She danced absolutely beautifully (and she got to bring out the cannon that when she fires it has a little flag that pops out with the word "BANG" on it)

Boomer has been sad this week - he has had much less playtime and NO camera time

Regularly scheduled pictures of the Boo dog to return next week but the Princess deserved top billing for her amazing accomplishments!

Boomer Ball

Ok so I have no furniture in my guest room - that's ok because it makes it a great place to play Boomer Ball (it is the bouncy ball in the picture) - he loves that game!  He is learning when I say "Ball" to bring it back to me and he is learning "Sit"

Wow that struck me as so funny!

I am going back to my glass of whine (actually Block 13 Sauv Blanc) but my tongue is in my cheek  (I guess better mine than someone elses or maybe  not lol) and a half smile on my face.

And gasp no Boomer pics today - we played lots but he was not in a picture taking mood.

It's hard to write anything meanigful

It is hard to write anything meaningful when you are basically happy.  I mean nothing really inspires you or causes you to spew forth passionate rhetoric.  Most of the time you just go around in a contented bubble and if something frustrating happens you get over it quickly and laugh it off.

I am not complaining.  I just don't have any issues that I am particularly passionate about right now.

I don't miss it.  I guess I was a very frustrated person there for a while.  Lots of unfocused energy.
