The graduate

I really could swear it was just yesterday that Patrick graduated from kindergarten

Tonight he graduated from 8th grade.

Congratulations to my funny silly sweet teen!

 

 

Ohhhh Big Dog Now

Ok Big Milestone in Boomer's Life today

He managed to carry the big frisbee - no more mini frisbee

He was so proud of himself prancing and waving his tail high in the air

It was amazingly adorable!!! Catherine and I were having so much fun with him - Patrick is having a blast in Washington DC so he was not part of tonight's fun  . . .

OK I feel like a dork dweeb etc

Ok

Catherine has had an iPod for a couple of years and tends to like Disney stars and innocuous pop

Patrick is going to Washington DC tomorrow and he received an iPod for Christmas but had not put any music on it

Ummm the genre for soon to be high school kids is Rap

I insisted that he get songs without explicit lyrics.

I am sure I am now the biggest dweeb as a parent totally a dork and I know that he will get songs that are not sanitized

But I just could not sanction popular rap songs that celebrate violence and the street life

sigh

totally lost any claims to cool

but I feel like a good mom

sure that my son does not agree although he was really decent about it

everyone says that teenagers are a pain in the arse

Patrick is so far proving to be the exception to the rule
